Diane joined the faculty of OLQHS in 1999.  She was born and raised in Shreveport, LA. She and her husband, Ridley, moved to Lake Charles in 1982.  She has a B.A. in Education from McNeese State University.   She began her teaching career at Western Heights (1990) teaching 3rd grade.  She also taught 5th grade at St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and 1st and 4th grades at Christ the King Catholic School in Madisonville, Kentucky.   At OLQHS, Diane has taught in the following areas - Middle School Intervention, 7th grade - Religion, 7th grade - U. S. History, 8th grade - Louisiana History.  In 2017, Diane moved to the OLQHS Library which was a dream come true!  Diane has three grown children - Dylan, and twins - Megan and Micah.  She also had two grandchildren - Jamey and Darcy to whom she is “Honey”.  Honey loves spending time with Jamie and Darcy, she loves travel, baseball, theatre, art, and fishing.  DIane’s favorite thing about being the Librarian is sharing her love of reading, and helping students find that love themselves.
