We are pleased to announce and warmly welcome Mr. Dennis Verrette as our new School Security Resource Officer, beginning Monday, January 12, 2026.
Mr. Verrette has been employed with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office for thirteen years, serving ten of those years as a School Resource Officer. His experience also includes service in Corrections, Transportation, Detectives, and Off-Duty Security, providing him with a well-rounded background in school and community safety.
He is a graduate of McNeese State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and he has completed thirty hours of advanced graduate studies.
Mr. Verrette and his wife, Lisa Smith Verrette, will celebrate their 32nd wedding anniversary this May. They are proud parents to four furbabies—Lola, Broly, Lexi, and Lucy—and are active members of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, where they have both served in various ministries over the years.
Mr. Verrette shared his excitement about joining our school community and looks forward to collaborating with our administration and staff to continue enhancing the safety and security of our students.
