Amy Eisner

Amy Eisner has been teaching at Our Lady Queen of Heaven School since 2017. She has a bachelor's degree in Secondary Math Education from McNeese and is married to Rick Eisner. She has three children who all attended OLQHS and SLCHS. Amy taught high school math both locally and overseas for 10 years before homeschooling her own children until they were in 7th grade. 

Her background in teaching, everything from pre-algebra to calculus, along with her experience in the homeschooling community, gave her an in depth understanding of the foundational knowledge students need to be successful in high school math. She experienced the results of personalizing research-based instructional strategies with differentiated instruction for each student. Her favorite part of teaching is seeing their personalities emerge in the small classes and their eyes light up as they realize how much math they are actually learning!
