Missy Bushnell

Missy Bushnell is a National Board Certified Teacher with over thirty years of experience in education.  She graduated from McNeese State University in 1992 with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education, and obtained her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership in 2004. Geaux Pokes!  Missy’s experience includes over twenty years as a classroom teacher and twelve years as a public school administrator.  After twenty-five years at the same local elementary school, she retired and began teaching at OLQHS.  Missy truly believes that OLQHS is “heaven on earth” and has a renewed passion for teaching children.  Missy is a lifelong resident of Lake Charles and is married to Ronnie Bushnell.  They have one daughter, Sarah Catherine, and a few “fur babies.”
