Maria Lewis

Maria Tartamella Lewis is no stranger to Our Lady Queen of Heaven School.  Although Maria was born and raised on Long Island, New York, she made her way to Lake Charles with her family at age 11 where she was enrolled as a student at OLQHS. As an alumni of OLQH and St. Louis High School, Maria studied Elementary and Special Education at McNeese State University but spent much of her adult life as the full-time Youth Minister for OLQH parish.  Maria began working as a Pre-K aide at OLQHS in 2015 where she enjoyed being close to her daughter Gianna, a recent alumni of OLQHS.  Maria’s interests are closely tied to her daughter’s involvement in theater helping with props and costumes for various productions.  She is known in Pre-K for her passion of story-telling and enjoys spending time at her “happy place” every weekday among our littlest friends at OLQHS.
