March 13, 2020: Statement from Bishop Provost
In the interests of the safety and health of our Catholic School communities in this time of pandemic and in response to the closure of public schools ordered by the Governor in his Executive Proclamation of March 13, 2020, I am directing that all Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Lake Charles be closed from Monday, March 16, until Monday, April 13. Developments will be monitored. Further directives will be issued as needed. Please pray for the sustained good health of all and for the recovery of the sick.

March 16: CPSB Meal Availability
Beginning Wednesday, March 18, the Calcasieu Parish School Board will be providing free to-go breakfast and lunch meals for anyone 18 and under. Those meals can be obtained each day from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at more than a dozen locations across the district. Upon arrival each day, you will receive a hot lunch and a grab-and-go breakfast for the following day. Click HERE for a full location list.

April 3: School Closure Date Extended
In light of the government extension of school closures and the previous directives issued by Bishop Provost and Superintendent Kimberlee Gazzolo, Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Lake Charles will remain closed until April 30, 2020. Schools will continue their commitment to distance learning during this time. School learning will cease Friday, April 10th (Good Friday) and resume Monday, April 20th in observance of Easter Vacation. Please continue to pray for the sustained good health of all and for the recovery of the sick.
